We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Power Quality Specialist in our Appleton, Wisconsin location.

Job Responsibilities

• Integrates knowledge, experience, governmental codes, industry standards, and determines company requirements to solve technical problems and satisfy energy service needs
• Performs testing and analysis on energized customers’ and company equipment
• Communicates with customers about stray voltage and power quality concerns
• Performs stray voltage testing on farms and analyzes data

Minimum Qualifications

• Applicant must have a two-year associate degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural, electronic, utilities engineering, or similar technology and the degree shall include understanding basic electric circuits, electric theory, or distribution systems OR a minimum of two years utility experience within a utility as a line mechanic, troubleshooter, URD installer, cable splicer/installer, electrician, plant electrician or substation electrician, or designer or energy services consultant.
• Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and meet the company’s requirements for driving.

Minimum Posting Range:  $32.88 

Maximum Posting Range:  $54.79 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
